On July 16, 2015, WSI’s Co-founder Dan Monaghan was preparing to embark on a journey few people ever take: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. Seven days and 19341 feet later, Dan – along with Olympian Cheryl Bernard, ET Canada host Rick Campanelli, HGTV host J.D. Scott and several others – reached the summit of the highest mountain in Africa. kiliclimb_facebookshareimage_site Their mission was to climb Kili and raise Philippines Photo Editor awareness, through World Vision Canada, for children engaged in dirty, dangerous and degrading jobs. In the end, the group raised $143,000 for the cause – and had an adventure of a lifetime. Nearly a year later, on June 8, 2016, the group was in Toronto for the premiere of a film documentary of their experience.
